41x10x09 [3690]—Nine Timed Experiences from Around Skonun Point to the Mouth of the Sangan

The most personally oriented piece for Gravity Engine so far; nine timed experiences between specific locations on a beach local to where I live. Each resulting poem is 10 lines in length and features 41 syllables in total. 41 x 10 x 9 = 3690 seconds, or one hour, one minute, and thirty seconds timed duration for each experience.

In this iteration the engine is allowed to loop 180 times for each poem in a kind of mechanized repeated recollection of the experience, the resulting image layers becoming less distinct even as the overall composition becomes more intense.

Each piece includes five components:

  • The complete animation supplying images to account for meaning lost during the process of recollection and communication.

  • The image after one cycle (or one recollection).

  • The image after eight cycles (or eight recollections).

  • The ten line, 41 syllable, poem, derived from the source notes made after the timed experience, displayed in the engine.

  • The source notes for the timed experience.
