A project dedicated to the idea that we not only communicate but also simultaneously fail to communicate by some amount. That for every attempt to establish meaning inevitably some meaning is lost to the universe—thrown off like some invisible particle—resulting in billions of particles of lost meaning left to accumulate. Further, that it might be possible to represent this lost meaning in some way, not convey it but account for it, via abstract forms emerging (generated algorithmically) from the original attempted act of communication. Lately this work has unexpectedly aligned with my project of the last three years to better understand and communicate solutions to the environmental crisis, resulting in a series of pieces addressing conservation and the debt of meaning in the universe generated by biodiversity loss.
